Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose – one of the greatest patriots of Motherland India of all times took the charge of Indian National Army from Rash Behari Bose on December 1942. Henceforth, Netaji was the commander, captain and chief of the army and led the Indian Independence League in making a great impact in the fight for freedom of India from the British Rule. The army comprised of 40000 young and passionate fighters who took oath to make India independent. The INA comprised of 12 infantry battalions of 650 troops, which were organised into four guerilla regiment of 2000 fighters.
With great contribution in the Quit India Movement and the Civil Disobedience Movement, the INA had already proved itself to be nightmare for the British invaders and its alliances. Apart from its unmatched espionage in India, INA has played significant roles in the Battle of Singapore, British reversals in Burma and various other controversial atrocities and battles all over Asia. Be it battles or battle intelligence, INA made a great impact in wars against the British Army and in the rampage and dissolution of the Indian-British Army, hence, illuminating the path of our motherland towards freedom from British Rule.
After 70 years of Independence, four veterans from INA is all set to participate in the Republic Day Parade this year. This is the first time that INA patriots are taking part in the parade and Parade Deputy Commander, Major General Rajpal Poonia, has declared their consent of participation.
