VMware announces innovations across the VMware Cloud Provider platform. The news, which will be unveiled during VMworld 2019, will help cloud providers further expand their business opportunities in the new application economy. In addition, they will allow cloud providers to deliver industrialized hybrid clouds to customers from anywhere, including their own and cloud provider data centers, VMware Cloud on AWS as managed service, and hyperscale public clouds. VMware’s expanded portfolio will also enable cloud providers to offer new cloud services for differentiation, potential revenue growth, and build developer-ready clouds and support modern applications.

“Our strategy is to empower partners with the flexibility to provide an industrialized hybrid cloud, built in a VMware software-defined data center, wherever the customer chooses,” said Rajeev Bhardwaj, vice president of business unit products Cloud Provider Software from VMware. “Today, more than 10 million VMs run on VMware Cloud Providers clouds through our SDDC. VMware and its Cloud Providers partners help organizations operate more efficiently and create more value, enabling significant cost savings and in day-to-day technology operations. “

There are currently over 4,300 VMware cloud providers in more than 120 countries, operating in over 10,000 data centers. These providers are trusted advisors for clients who need the knowledge and guidance to navigate their cloud journey and range from hyperscalers such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and IBM Cloud to strategic regional providers with industry-specific geographic or service knowledge. . The number of VMware Cloud Verified partners – a set of strategic partners offering full VMware SDDC as a service as well as value-added services – has quadrupled last year to over 60 worldwide. Cloud Verified designation gives companies the confidence that their cloud provider has the most complete and advanced VMware technologies. We can say this is one of the cyber security methods, you can find the new cyber security updates.

Delivering the industrialized hybrid cloud

VMware Cloud Provider Platform enables partners to deliver a modern industrialized hybrid cloud that combines automation, efficiency, and scalability with the lowest total cost of ownership and simple deployment of infrastructure and services with just one click. At the heart of the technology is VMware vCloud Director, an open and extensible cloud service delivery platform. The latest version, vCloud Director 10, will include the following innovations:

• Unified Private Cloud, Hosted, and Multi-Tenant Viewing – Providers will be able to expand their offerings to include private and multi-tenant cloud with the Centralized Point of Management (CPOM) feature integrated natively in vCloud Director. This feature will mitigate the challenges and costs associated with creating custom tools for managing various types of cloud terminals. Providers benefit from a unified view of the data center health and status of Virtual Machines (VMs) in a global cloud property across all endpoints.

• Intelligent workload placement for greater efficiency – powered by vCloud Director’s new computing profiles, this will enable cloud providers to increase the efficiency of their cloud infrastructure. They can offer standalone tiered computing consumption, host-based licensing restrictions, and simplified selling based on application sizes.

• Advanced Automation – This release of vCloud Director will feature comprehensive improvements to automation features, including an enhanced Terraform provider that supports full definition of computing and networking as code. VMware Cloud providers will be able to target developers who want to use open source tools for their cloud automation.

• Multicloud Networks – Extensive network updates for VMware NSX-T are incorporated in this release to provide greater support for various cloud and container environments, delivered through vCloud Director self-service consumption.

Capture modern workloads with a developer-ready cloud

With VMware Enterprise PKS, a container orchestration solution, VMware Cloud Providers can offer as-a-service containers, taking them beyond application infrastructure as a service (IaaS). In addition, the Bitnami acquisition gives VMware the ability to offer new solutions to the company’s cloud providers to help them deliver modern application services. At VMworld, a preview of vCloud Director’s technology integration with the Bitnami community – which houses one of the largest catalogs for application and stack development – will be presented. A combination of the Bitnami community and Enterprise PKS will allow VMware’s partner cloud providers to expand their multi-cloud services to meet DevOps needs, as well as attract new workloads,

Creating differentiated cloud services

VMware continues to expand VMware Cloud Provider Platform to provide monetizable services that help cloud providers better meet their customers’ needs. VMware Cloud Provider partners can focus on creating and delivering more services that add value, revenue, and improved margins to their business. The company is enabling cloud providers with additional growth areas through the following programs and offerings:

• New VMware Cloud Provider Ready for DraaS program – currently eight cloud providers are up and running, offering disaster-as-a-service (DraaS) in their cloud with VMware technology using the latest version of VMware vCloud Availability. End users can easily view DraaS partners online at  cloud.vmware.com , quickly connect directly to these partners, and easily establish a protection solution to choose their cloud provider.

• Object Storage Extension for vCloud Director – Provides a natively integrated storage solution to help cloud providers grow their business and deliver the core services customers want in the public cloud. VMware vCloud Director users can consume and operate the S3-compliant object storage service, which is fully integrated with vCloud Director, allowing them to store and share unstructured data.

• New backup certification for vCloud Director – available as part of the VMware Ready program to ensure that backup vendors are fully certified to operate in a secure, multi-company environment based on vCloud Director. Five partners have already completed certification: Cohesity, CommVault, Dell EMC, Rubrik, and Veeam.
